Mixed Media

In visual art, mixed media describes artworks that are made from a combination of different materials or media such as paper, wood, cloth, rope, acrylic, ink, etc. Common examples of art using different materials are also called collages or assemblages. Pablo Picasso’s collage from 1912, Still Life with Chair Canning, is the first modern artwork to be considered in this genre. Nowadays mixed media is very popular among contemporary artists.
