This type of sculpture includes pieces made of metal or metal alloys such as bronze, gold, silver, tin, lead, copper, iron, aluminium, steel, scrap-metals etc. The oldest metal sculptures were made of bronze and copper alloy. Ancient civilizations used to carve Gods and leaders in gold or silver and other precious metals. These two are soft metals that can be worked with tools or used in metal casting. Modern metal sculptures have mastered the process of welding that can be classified into Oxy-fuel welding, Stick welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding.
