Emeka Ilechukwu was born on the 11th of August, 1975 in Nnewi, Anambra state. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Fine Arts from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, Enugu State Nigeria where he majored in sculpture. He was the best graduating student of 1996/97 in Sculpture.
Emeka has been drawing, sculpting, and painting as far back as he can remember. He uses various media such as wood, metal, thread, acrylic, oils, pastel on canvas, or paper to express his robust and creative ideas drawn from careful observation of things happening around him. His works revolve around finding those ingredients that inspire hope, motivation, and courage.
