Akachukwu Chukwuemeka was born on 23rd June 1971 at Amata Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State in Nigeria. He is a 1998 graduate of painting from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka.
Chukwuemeka’s works explore social, political, cultural, and religious dialogues in the neo-colonial environment. His current body of work is motivated by the art forms seen in cloud formations and he uses these formations as a metaphor for his narratives about happenings in his environment. He currently resides in Abuja, Nigeria.
