About the founder
Kennedy Anyiam-Osigwe, founder and chairman of the Brilliant Brush Gallery, is a lawyer with a commercial practice in the UK and Nigeria spanning over two decades. He is an avid art lover with a passion for all that relates to it, including its commercial aspect. His appreciation for art has led him to collect various pieces globally, as well as support young emerging artists wherever he met them, in various capacities.
On returning to Nigeria from England, Kennedy continued pursing his passion alongside his legal practice. While exploring the Nigerian art market, he observed a wide gap in the market that made it difficult for the numerous talents in the country, and continent to gain access to the recognition, infrastructural support and remuneration they deserved by their continuous contribution to African art, as well as stunted their growth. This observation motivated Kennedy to create a platform from which he could support the development of African artists and art forms, hence, the birth of Brilliant Brush Gallery. The gallery allows everyone interested in African art to get involved in developing it through their sales and exhibition platforms. It aims to support the growth of African creatives by seeking them out and supporting them creatively and financially towards achieving their full potential.
