Terra Kulture Art Gallery is a part of Terra Kulture Arts and Studios, a multifunctional cultural, educational, and recreational organization that was set up in 2003 to promote the richness and diversity of Nigerian languages, arts, and culture, by Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters. The organization was founded based on Mrs. Austen-Peters’ abiding passion and respect for all cultures and her observation that there were few institutions effectively supporting Nigerian culture and providing the right ambiance for Nigerians and foreigners to learn about Nigeria’s cultural and linguistic heritage.
About the founder
Bolanle Austen-Peters was born on February 4, 1969 in Ibadan, Oyo State to Chief Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. She is a Nigerian Businesswoman, Lawyer and award-winning film and theatre director. She got an undergraduate Law degree from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is the Founder of Terra Kulture, a private sector initiative that has become a resounding success for being recognized as a major cultural hub in Nigeria for expatriates, students, Hollywood and Nollywood stars, artists, and members of the diplomatic corps.
