Akindele John

Akindele John is a metaphoric figurative artist, a prolific painter who was born in October 1995, in Ogun State. He graduated from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, and has been actively practicing art since then.

Akindele’s styles, mediums, and techniques contain an aesthetic and functional embodiment of his artistic personality. He attempts to ensure the concepts and ideologies expressed through the subject of an art piece is interesting and very inspiring. Using charcoal effect drawings in addition to lines, structures, and movement of gestural forms, Akindele aims to depict moods, expressions, and body language in relation to his society. His works are inspired by a majority of the old masters’ drawings and paintings.
