"Jolly Good Fellow" is an ink and acrylic collaborative piece by the cousins Nike Okundaye and Tola Wewe. Besides being an accomplished proffesional artist, a painter, a textle artist and a weaver, Nike Okundaye is the Owner/Curator of the Nike Art Galleries at Lagos, Osogbo, Ogidi-Ijumu and Abuja. She is also an awards winner at many national and international art shows. Tola Wewe is a former Commissioner of Arts, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Nigeria. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from University of Ife in 1983.

Chief (Mrs.) Nike Monica Okundaye popularly known and called MAMA NIKE by her numerous fans, was born on the 23rd May 1951 at a very quiet and hilly village of Ogidi-Ijumu in Kogi State of Nigeria. She is the Owner/Curator of the Nike Art Galleries at Lagos, Osogbo, Ogidi-Ijumu and Abuja. She is also an accomplished professional artist, a painter, a textile artist, weaver, embroiderand an awards winner at many national and international art shows. Nike is a member of many nationa and international bodies including Society of Nigerian Artists, ASA of USA and Canada, ACASA, Society of Nigerian Women Artists, Member of Osun Support Grove, Board member of the National Heritage Council of Nigeria, Member of the Board of Trustee of Osun State Centre For Black Culture and International understanding, etc. She is also principally a social entrepreneur and a well know philanthropist championing the cause of the neglected Nigerian rural women suing art as a tool to accomplish these nobel missions.
Tola Wewe, a former Commissioner of Arts, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Nigeria and a cousin to Nike Okundaye was born in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria in 1959, trained and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from University of Ife in 1983. He then went to obtain a Masters degree in African Visual Arts from University of Ibadan, Oyo State in 1986. He worked as a cartoonist before becoming a full-time studio artist in 1991. At the beginning of his career, three major influences characterized Tola Wewes works the first was his basic academic training at Ife, the second was his masters research program on the Ijaw water spirit mask and the last was the society, particularly the Yoruba society. His style draws from the Ona symbols of the Yorubas and his themes project traditional lore and myths of the native Yoruba culture. Wewe describes himself more as a witness than an author, communicating with the spirits of his ancestors, and drawing out the invisible spirits the Anjonnu, Emere and the Ebora who make the artworks I am the vehicle, and they are the drivers.
