SIMEON IJOYE ATHEKAMHE
Born and raised in Edo State, Dr Simeon Ijoye Athekamhe is a well known and respected Nigerian artist and lecturer. He attended Edo College, Benin City, Edo State for his secondary education and got a Higher National Diploma (HND), Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo state. He has worked at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi in Edo State, in the Department of Painting and General Art, School of Art and Design for about thirty years where he taught Drawing, Painting and Art History. He is the current Chairman of SNA (Society of Nigerian Artists).
