FORTUNE ANUFORO
Born in 1984, Fortune Anuforo is a Nigerian contemporary artist who works full time out of his studio. He got his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in painting and drawing from Yaba College of Technology in 2013 and 2016 respectively, earning upper credit degrees in both programs.
He is considered a mannerist and stylistic painter whose works often makes use of exaggeration and cubist forms. He experiments with forms and lines, as well as fusing Ankara designs with his works to give them an African touch. His practice is inspired by works of masters like Kees Van Dongen, Pablo Picasso and Kolade Oshinowo.
