RAYMOND AKENBOR

Born in: 1982

Painting

Born on the 10th of May, 1982, Eghosa Raymond Akenbor is a Nigerian artist with a flair for experimentation and dramatic artistic expressions. His juxtaposition of colours and found objects makes his canvases full of interestingly unique stories intending to evoke a wide range of feelings in the viewer. His works consistently exude vibrancy, countless formations, storified shapes, and intrinsic textures which aim to evoke emotive magic that carries one into a whole new world.

After his elementary and secondary education, Eghosa found himself studying Micro-Biology at the prestigious University of Benin where he obtained a diploma. After his degree program, his creative instincts opened up, leading him to pursue a National Diploma (ND) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Painting and General Arts, respectively at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria between 2004 and 2008, after which he went further to obtain a Postgraduate Degree in Education at the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria in 2014.
