PROFESSOR EMMANUEL AFOLAYAN
Professor Emmanuel Afolayan was born on June 5, 1960, in Osi Opin, Kwara State. He attended Ahmadu Bello University where he got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts (1984) and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture.
Professor Afolayan worked as a graphic artist for one year, between 1984 and 1985, after which he worked with the kwara state council for Arts & Culture, Ilorin for another year (1985-1986). In 1988, he became a lecturer at Auchi Polytevhnic, Auchi till date. An ardent supporter of Onaism, Professor Afolayan specialises in stone carving, although, he also works in metal, cement and wood. He is a member of Nigerian Society for Education through Art and Society of Nigerian Artists.
